My dad owned an electrical company.

I grew up watching him work — long days, job sites, the smell of copper wire and sawdust. He was one of the best electricians in his area. Skilled, reliable, honest. The kind of contractor you'd want in your home.

But he wasn't a marketer. And back then, that was okay. Word of mouth spread. The phone rang. Jobs came in.

The pivot
